What is The First Tee of Greater Sacramento Program?
Junior golf lessons and programs taught by TFTGS or one of its affiliate members will contain the following elements:
- A golf skill or experience
- A rules and/or etiquette lesson
- A Life Skill and/or Core Value lesson
Through the game of golf, your young golfer will be familiarized with The First Tee 9 core values:

- INTEGRITY
- RESPECT
- COURTESY
- CONFIDENCE
- JUDGMENT
- RESPONSIBILITY
- PERSEVERANCE
- SPORTSMANSHIP
There are many benefits to be gained by participating and advancing in The First Tee program, which include:
- Eligibility to apply for discounted green fees at facilities that are affiliate members of The First Tee of Sacramento (discount procedures may vary).
- Opportunity to apply to The First Tee Life Skills and Leadership Academy.
- Opportunity to apply for TFTGS college scholarships (Tour members).
- Opportunity to apply for The First Tee Scholars Program.
- Opportunity to earn community service points required by most Sacramento area schools.
