Where do the funds raised go???? In an effort to keep our tour affordable for all juniors, we suffer a large shortfall each year between operating expenses and fees collected from juniors. Our goal for this event is to raise $15,000-$20,000 to help subsidize our program, while keeping fees low.

Dennis Walters Golf Show August 10
makes a special guest appearance at Haggin Oaks GC
"Dennis Walters is an extraordinarily inspirational individual," said Joe Louis Barrow, Jr., chief executive officer of The First Tee. "We are pleased he will be joining us to share with our participants his story of courage, perseverance and determination to overcome obstacles in his life."
Walters was injured in a golf cart accident 35 years ago that left him a paraplegic. Since 1977, he has traveled the country devoting his life to entertaining and inspiring others through his motivational shows. An honorary PGA Member, Walters has performed more than 2,700 shows and has been honored with numerous awards, including the 2008 PGA Distinguished Service Award and the Ben Hogan Award by the Golf Writers Association of America. In 2013, his canine assistant, Bucky, will join Walters.
